In Panama, cell phone users do not purchase “increments” of minutes as is done in North America. Instead, Panama Cable & Wireless “Movil” cell phone prepaid cash cards, in denominations of $5, $10, and $20 are loaded onto your phone. They can be recharged with additional cash cards at any time, which can be purchased in various locations within Panama. Most local calls cost approximately forty-cents ($0.40) per minute, regardless of whether they are incoming or outgoing calls.

* Prices below include a Siemens A71 cellular phone with a preloaded dollar allotment of $20, which includes a standard travel charger. The phone is provided with its own unique phone number, which can be provided to others prior to departing for your trip.
